MCS Beach Clean at Porthpean

MCS Beach Clean at Porthpean

A very big thank you to all the amazing volunteers who turned up on Sunday morning for our Marine Conservation Society Autumn beach clean at #Porthpean!

Despite the rain the day before (and later!) it was a beautiful day and we sifted through all the seaweed and picked up bags and bags of small pieces of plastic and fishing litter which we duly counted to send back to MCS for their data collection survey.

Thanks to those of you that made cake and especially to Jo Plester who has adopted this beach for MCS and who we will be working with on future beach cleans!

A great day was had by all and we look forward to our next beach clean with Three Bays Wildlife Group for Surfers Against Sewage on October 27th at 11am!
